Hello all. I am an American living in Japan and trying my best to capture the spirit of this country through photography. I live in a very small town in Shiga prefecture an hour and thirty minutes from Kyoto. I spend most weekends in Kyoto and Osaka and I'm looking forward to covering the city and countryside with my lens!

This is a new gallery for me and right now I am adding anything that I believe has some merit. In time I hope to filter out the "OK" works and replace them with something better as I become more experienced. So until then I would appreciate your patience and support!

Well, I've just returned from a whirlwind adventure across Southeast Asia, from Bangkok through Cambodia all the way down to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. What an adventure! Glad to be back in Japan but I think a lost a part of myself in Angkor Wat. I hope you enjoy the photos from my trip.
