Hello all. I am an American living in Japan and trying my best to capture the spirit of this country through photography. I live in a very small town in Shiga prefecture an hour and thirty minutes from Kyoto. I spend most weekends in Kyoto and Osaka and I'm looking forward to covering the city and countryside with my lens!

This is a new gallery for me and right now I am adding anything that I believe has some merit. In time I hope to filter out the "OK" works and replace them with something better as I become more experienced. So until then I would appreciate your patience and support!

Well, my two years spent in Japan are rapidly coming to an end. Right now I am packing up and getting ready to move back to the U.S. I've really enjoyed my time in Japan and I will miss it tremendously, but it's time to head back home. I am looking forward to revisiting some of my favorite haunts and capturing them through photography. I also have plans to visit Kenya and Northern Ireland in the next year so keep an eye out for more journalistic style photography from this gallery.
